Early morning view from Chomrong
View of our trek
Another feeble attempt at shots on rapids.. but I still think the scenery is brilliant! It's really that HOT in the afternoon..
The french dancer giving her porter a massage... Kindness knows no boundaries..
Resting at some guesthouse at the top of a hill.... Very nice scenery...
Wild flowers that peppered our trail..
My 4th day without coffee. Haha detox!! But still grumpy after I woke up.
The view at the Annapurna hotel was great!!! I got to see Annapurna South, the "fish tail"!!! Ir's a little misty but still good!! Haha..
Trek started with a steep decent and a fall. Zz.. Ya, no coffee, zero alertness. No thanks to the fall, I acquired a couple of cosmetic scratches on my camera.
Lunch was at this teahouse by the river. Nice view! Tried taking one of those river shots but I don't have the right filter. Sigh..
After lunch was a sheer test of endurance. If u need to know, our group has zero stamina, minimal training but sheer endurance to do this. It was really hot and and the stones were really reflective. Had to wear sunglasses and I think I was almost dehydrated for a bit, a little dizzy and all. Thank god for rehydration salt. Think after an hour or so, the trek became almost flat and we were walking through farm lands.
The trek ended early at around 1530hr today in Chomrong. Teahouse is called Excellent View Lodge. This time I finally had a nice hot shower! Room was simple but spacious enough to pack stuff. Hehe.. The group sat around the outside for some reading and ginger tea. Really pleasant, somehow it makes the trek worth it.
The night started out a little cloudy. But the clouds soon cleared and the moon was above the "fish tail". It illuminated the the mountain range, which was pretty incredible to me given the darkness it was in. Life rocks big time when u witness such phenomena!
