But the afternoon was absolute fun! I managed to psycho the rest to consider taking a bus to Borobudur temple in an attempt to save a couple of $$$. In guidebooks, we were told that it takes around 1.5hrs to get to Borobudur but the locals told us it takes about 1hr. And our experience? It only took us 0.5hr only to get to Borobudur!!! That was how fast, how dangerous our bus ride was.... Haha... The driver is bloody zai lah... Tailgating, overtaking, near misses!!! Tsk!!!
Hotel Manohara (within the temple grounds) was an absolute pleasant surprise. It is quite pricey for backpackers but we wanted to do the sunrise walk so decided that this is our best option. Hotel is basic but clean! But the hotel surroundings was awesome. I didn't expect to lunch and face the Borobudur temple. And what was so captivating is the paddy fields surrounding the hotel... It was breathtaking.
Wished you were here though.. =)
