Bangkok- Day 1

My 2 travelmates! Mark and SZ!
The television that greeted me "Ms Low"
The grooming table..
On closer scrutiny, the Ip-phone & the stationary box. The other day, I went CK Tangs and saw and identical Marc & Mitch box going at a couple of hundreds dollars... *sweat*
The down feather pillows & ultra long sofa..
The door that separates the bathroom and bedroom... ahhaa...
still very excited over the "kinky" bathroom & bedroom separation..ahahahah
This is at least like my 4th time in Bkk already. The 1st was when I had a 3 nights stopover after Turkey. 2nd time was my extended family. 3rd time was with Leon and YM for the MI mud course. And so, this is my 4th. hahaha.... mostly 'cos poor SZ had no one to accompany him for a trip. haahahah.. minorly 'cos sz gets staff rate at Shangrila. I am just going to highlight the HIGH point for each day lah.. too lazy to blog about the entire trip.

On the first day, thanks to me, I managed to redeem free rooms with Thai Airways! wahahhaaha... so I got us a room at Le Meridien Bangkok. The hotel was new and it was extremely arty farty. We were so impressed! I mean, the music was solely composed by a musician just for the hotel. Thanks to me again, we were able to get the privileged floor, where all STARWOOD PREFERRED GUEST gets to stay. THere were free chocolates that SZ selfishly hogged to himself... we were pretty badly behaved as hotel guest as we wanted to KOP the hotel souvenirs for ourselves. I mean, the matches were like 10cm long. The A4 paper were semi-translucent type of paper that cost like at least $1 if you were to buy it from Popular bookstore. The pen was customised and square-shaped. The cotton buds and cotton pads were in a muji-like box. IT WAS totally like a "wow-factor" for all of us! Most of my friends know that I travel a lot but this is the first time, I have seen such LONG sofa in a hotel room. The last time I used an IP-phone was on the rig and I don't know why they need an IP phone for a hotel room. And the television greets me by my first name. I got to choose the kind of pillow that I enjoy sleeping in. Even the office chair was a "herman-miller" lookalike.

hahaha... if you are looking for a boutique hotel to stay in bangkok, THIS HAD TO BE IT! And for the guys, this is right smack in patpong area. hahahaha... I know it's quite expensive to stay in there, but you have to believe me that it is really worth every dollar! ahahah...
