"Exams" mode

sibei xiong huh... hahahaha... Today has been a bit longer than usual. The morning felt like I was running an ODAC event. Everyone is paging for me to be everywhere, climbing up and down measuring casings, trying to read/understand a paper so that I can pre-plot my LOT results, phone calls from boss (ie. Drilling manager) and the electronic technician don't know why blocked my internet. It was a really long morning till I almost forgotten to eat lunch. Luckily, the steward came up and ask if I want him to keep some lunch for me. hahaha... Digress a bit first....I totally understand what James said about when you are the boss, everyone treats you differently. I can still remember the times we had on DD2. I told him before that I want to someone really powerful and respected on the rig one day. The moment I looked at a person in disgust, he will get sacked right away. hahaha.... Yup, both of us are quite poorly treated when we were in our trainee phase. It's much better now. Business class flights, people serving us all our meals, people are generally more polite and tend to listen to what you have to say etc... Back to topic... So after lunch, it became like after running an event, I had to pia all the way down to NTU and take an exam paper for3 hours. Yup!!!! FOR 3 HOURS TODAY, I was totally stressed doing the LOT test! The cementer screwed up the lines and we had to do the test twice. zzzz.... the 2nd test they had to pump faster, which means I must pay more attention to the jumping numbers. DIAOZ... hahaha.... Company man just came to talk to me. Got ngiao-ed by him. He was saying that I don't need to holding the measuring tape, helping the roustabouts with their work at all. Quoting him, " Sophia, I don't mean this in a bad way. But you are XX (oil company name). Understand? I don't want to see you holding a measuring tape, climbing up and down the casings and be careful out there. This is not your job. Your job is to make sure that the correct casing length reading has been taken down." *sigh* He really belongs to the older generation. I am born in a generation in Singapore where everyone is of equal status and teamwork is a fiercely valued subject when I was schoolling. =P Geologist and I just found a hidden network onboard. Broke the password in 1 hour!!! =P more free wireless surfing!! lalalalala.....
