day 1, day 2 (northern thailand)

the room with the attitude!!! hahahah...a bed and a fan only.
alwyn & I at the unknown night market. I quite like the culture here. I think it is near the chiangmai university. It is somewhat fileld with loads of students selling their wares.
me on the sawngthaew
me on the "aircon" bus
they have a weird way of arranging people. hahaha 3 in a row on one side and 2 on the other. But I need to tell you this, it was really squeezy.
rest stop, enroute to chiangrai

1st meal today...malibu chicken. Hahaha forgotten to take a pic before I started...Can't blame me right? I was really hungry. Venue: internet cafe, Chiang Rai City Only Day 2 and I am complaining that I am tired. It's been tiring cos I am travelling and travelling since I left singapore. hahaha...okie. Exaggerating. =P Tiger Airways took me and my travel partner, Alywn to ChiangMai. It was 645pm when we arrived. And the city is totally DEAD!!!! I was quite surprise 'cos it is dark everywhere. Very little cars around too. Took a cab to the banana guesthouse. hahaha...Freaking authentic. Old, worn out looking place with an attitude. Ah yes, please include 1 million lizards. We left the guesthouse straight after leaving our bags in the room. Extremely hungry okie!!! Walked around some night market....not the chiangmai night bazaar though. Get lost in it, figured our way to dinner at Ratina's Kitchen (I was so frighten 'cos it is where a lot of ang mohs hang out). Anyway, the highlight of the night market was things there are dirt cheap! Shaws going for 39 baht. Singapore equilvalent of $2. Then they were selling those straw bags at about 120baht. Kns....I will make sure I will get those stuff when I am going home. My backpack and day pack is full though. ARGH!!! TO HELL WITH EXCESS BUGGAGE!! This morning, we left the guesthouse to go to the ChiangMai's bus arcade to get tickets to Chiang Rai. Took the sawngthaew. For 88 baht, we bought an "air-con" bus tickets. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPEN?!?!?!?! The aircon tickets means, natural aircon. hahahaha.... a few hours later later, we are where we are now. While looking for some guesthouse to stay, we explored half of the town already man...I am not talking nonsense. 'cos that stupid map on lonely planet is outddated?!!?!? liew... nvm, we tried to get Baan Bua Guest House instead. Kns....only left one room that cost 300 baht and has a twin bed!?!??!?! after like 45mins with our load, we found a another guesthouse called boonbundan Guest House. 200baht but comes with a private toilet.

If anyone noticed, I didn't mention food at all. Yes, we finally had our first meal of the day at 3pm. Goodness....I am amaze at myself man....

Planned things to do tmr. Will be going up north further to Mae Sai and Chiang Sean. Mae Sai to wave hi to the Myanmar people and Chiang Sean to see the golden triangle!!! YEAH!!!!

Okie, my time at the net cafe is almost up. hahaha....check you out another time!! *hugz* and promise, I will try to take more photos. hahahaha...
