Beginning of Hitch II

I was super lucky this morning that yali came to see me off! hehe... having someone to see me off beats that sianzness away. I was really sianz this morning as I wasn't ready to go off to DD2 so soon. I haven't met up with all the people that I want to meet, I have yet to play enough, I still want to eat more dinners with my family etc.... so many things to do, so little time.
when I get home in June, it would be so exciting. Onn and gang would be back in SG!! so exciting!! I miss them so much....
this plane journey was interesting hahah.....
I was on the window seat and I sat beside 2 indonesian guys. In case u are wondering, they neither rich or chinese. I had my ipod playing Mayday's Born to Love You song. So they didn't get to talk to me until meal time. Yes, the one beside me tried to pick me up! kns... I was totally not expecting it 'cos he's at least 30. Apparently, the both of them are working for the supply vessel that brings in supplies for my rig. The moment he found out that I was working on DDII, he turned to his friend and mumbled a "YES" to him. Then he starting asking for my age, if I am married etc. Please note: it's a one-sided thing. I only replied and didn't ask any questions at all. Then he started making statements like," if you are my gf, I would never allow you to work on the rig and be surrounded by 100 over guys all the time." Finally, he asked for my number and said he wanted to practise speaking english with me. TOO BAD! I don't have a Brunei Number! wahahahahahaha...... think the "end of conversation" thing came when he asked what sort of engineer I am. You should have seen the PRICELESS expression on this face when I said "drilling". KAOZ.... hahaha... he stopped talking to me after that. Yeah, it's the kind of "wow" that people give you when you are asian, female and drilling engineer. On top of the food chain if you know what I mean... hahaha.... damn funny. Luckily, he didn't find out that I am only trainee and doing rig crew duties now. =PpPp
no lah... I am not trying to be an asshole lah.... I wasn't used to the kind of "wow" when I first started out also. Usually I will only say I am a training engineer. People don't normally probe further. Apparently, a lot of old people have been telling me that drilling engineers are one of the highest paid engineers in this industry (when you have at least 5 years experience) compared to mud or cement engineers. Guy, the Rig Manager, have also mentioned before that he has to be nice to me so that next time I wouldn't be shouting at him when I become a full fledge engineer. Seriously, I never knew how important my job is until he made that statement.
oh oh... anyway, before my colleagues start any scandalous topics on my tagboard again, I wanna make clear something. I am not looking for a bf when I am on the rig. Seriously, I am there to work. Any remarks made by my 2 dearest colleagues are just jokes. No harm having some fun around anyway... =PpPp
okie lah... it's nearly 930. Shall go sleep soon... will blog soon.. Meanwhile, take care people!!
